Information for Families: Capacity, Staffing and Funding

Our registration and number of children we can care for

Our setting is registered as a childminding provision and operates on domestic premises.

Childminder name: Yineska Sanchez
Ofsted Registration Number: 2787061

Co-childminder name: Gemma Worley
Ofsted Registration Number: 2819117

In line with current statutory guidance:

  • Our registration allows us to care for 10 or more early years (pre-school) children at any one time.

  • To offer care for this number of children, there must be four adults working directly with children (usual ratio: 1 adult to 3 early years children).

  • Four adults is the maximum number permitted to work with children at one time under childminder domestic registration.

Although our registration permits care for 10 or more children, we may choose to operate with fewer children at certain times depending on need, the individual children attending, and the quality of care we wish to provide.

Adult–to–child ratios

We follow the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements for:

  • adult-to-child ratios

  • supervision and safeguarding

  • children’s safety and wellbeing

  • meeting individual children’s needs

Children are only cared for within the ratios permitted by law at all times.

Funding Information

We offer government-funded early education places in line with national guidance. This funding enables eligible children to access early education and childcare.

What funded childcare we offer

Depending on eligibility, families may be able to access:

  • 15 hours funded childcare for eligible 2-year-olds

  • 15 hours universal funding for 3- and 4-year-olds

  • up to 30 hours extended funding for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds

(Eligibility is determined by government criteria.)

How funding is used and what is included

Funded hours:

  • are used for early education and childcare only

  • do not cover meals, snacks, consumables, outings or additional services

Any optional charges for meals, consumables or extracurricular activities will always be explained clearly in advance, and alternatives will be available.

Additional charges

Families may be asked to contribute towards:

  • meals and snacks

  • nappies and wipes

  • outings or special activities

  • hours taken beyond the funded entitlement

No child will be disadvantaged because parents choose not to pay additional charges. Funded hours can be taken as funded-only places, with parents providing their own consumables if they prefer.

How funded hours can be taken

Funded hours can normally be taken:

  • across set sessions or stretched across the year

  • subject to availability

  • in line with our opening times

We will work with each family to agree the pattern of hours that best supports their child.

Inclusion and accessibility

We welcome all children and work closely with families and professionals to support additional needs or disabilities.
